As a wedding photographer, I have the honor of capturing some of the most joyous moments in people’s lives. Recently, I had the privilege of photographing Alexa & Nick’s beautiful wedding at The Longhouse. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

The Venue

Nestled in the heart of Stokesdale, NC the longhouse provided a stunning backdrop for Alexa & Nick’s special day. The venue’s grounds are absolutely breathtaking with a beautiful shaded tree for the ceremony to take place under and a big pond to capture everlasting photos near. The Longhouse created a perfect setting for both the ceremony and the reception. Indoors is a beautiful hall for the reception or ceremony if needed, with cathedral ceiling and a large stone fireplace from floor to ceiling! There is room for the bride and groom to get ready up in the balcony over looking the hall with a spiral staircase coming down to the hall! 

The Couple

Alexa & Nick are a wonderful pair. Their love story began while Alexa was in Indiana when she was on vacation at her cousins house. Nick proposed in Indiana, he had their song playing on the speakers and 24 roses laid out right where they met! Seeing them together, it was clear how deeply they care for one another. Their joy was palpable, and it made every photo even more special.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place in the large dining hall with the high cathedral ceiling’s, it felt like a true fairy tale. Alexa & Nicks vows were heartfelt and moving, leaving not a dry eye among the guests. The way they looked at each other as they exchanged rings was truly magical.

The Bridal Party

Alexa & Nick were surrounded by an amazing group of friends and family. The bridal party was full of energy and excitement, which made for some fantastic group shots. One of my favorite moments was when it was time for the intros and each person came in and struck a pose in front of me for a very funny picture! 

The Reception

The reception was held in the same area as the ceremony. While I was capturing family and group pictures the room got flipped for reception. The decorations were stunning, featuring pink and white flowers with a touch of greenery for the floral arrangements, they had the light dimmed for a more romantic touch with some lanterns can candles. The first dance between Alexa & Nick was a beautiful moment, and the speeches from the best man and maid of honor were both hilarious and touching.

Capturing the Details

I love capturing the little details that make each wedding unique. From the intricate lace on Alexa’s dress to the personalized wedding favors, every detail was thoughtfully chosen. The cupcakes, was not only gorgeous but delicious.

A Day to Remember

Alexa & Nick’s wedding was a day to remember. The love and happiness shared by everyone present made it an incredible event to photograph. I am so grateful to have been a part of their special day and to have captured these memories for them to cherish forever.
